Beef Satay

Ingredients
  • 35 skewer sticks (shishkabob sticks)
  • 1 flank steak, or boneless; cut into 5 inch long thin strips by 1 inch wide
  • ½ cup lime juice
  • 3 tsp minced ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil


Preparation
  1. Skewer the beef and place in a shallow baking pan.
  2. Combine the remaining ingredients into a small bowl.
  3. Pour marinade sauce over the beef.
  4. Marinade for at least 2 hours.
  5. Thirty minutes before cooking, remove from the refrigerator.
  6. Heat the over to 400 degrees/
  7. Place skewers on baking sheets.
  8. Cook for about 5 to 7 minutes.
  9. Serve with Peanut Sauce


Additional Tips
  • Substitutes: Instead of flank steak, you can use pork tenderloin, chicken strips or shrimp.
